How to use TableCheck Pay at the restaurant

The following article is a guide on how to go about making your payment using TableCheck Pay (hereafter called TC Pay) on the day of your reservation.

*Please note that TC Pay feature is only available with selected properties within Japan.

It is also possible to change your payment method on the day to a different one. As details vary by each restaurant, we kindly request that you contact your chosen restaurant directly.

 

If you have previously opted in for the use of TC Pay upon making your online reservation with TableCheck, you will be able to complete your payment quickly and smoothly at the property by:

  1. Informing the property staff that you will be paying by TC Pay.
  2. The property will process your payment via your pre-registered card and you will receive a notification for the payment right after.
  3. Verify the charged amount before leaving the property.

 

 

Please refer to the below reservation payment types which applies to your reservation for the necessary steps:

 

With Prepayment or Credit Card Authorization(Hold)　

  1. Inform the property staff that you will be paying by TC Pay.
  2. The property will process your payment via your pre-registered card (used to make your pre-payment / pre-authorization during reservation) and you will receive a notification for the payment right after.
  3. Verify the charged amount before leaving the property.

 

Without Prepayment or Credit Card Authorization(Hold)　

  1. Inform the restaurant staff that you will be using TC Pay.
  2. The restaurant will send a payment request via TC Pay.
    Tap the link in the SMS/email body to open the login screen, enter your ID and password, and tap "Sign In".

  3. If you do not have a TableCheck account, please create one.

  4. Once the payment screen opens, please verify the amount, enter your card details, and then tap the [Pay] button.

    If you already have a TableCheck account with a registered card, you can skip entering card information.
  5. The payment will be completed, and you will receive a payment confirmation notification (SMS/Email).
  6. Verify that the payment is complete and then leave the restaurant.
